My current fave song is With Everything by Hillsongs. But I won't post it here because I can guarantee no one else will even begin to tolerate it ;)

YouTube'd it.

A bit too fanatical for my tastes when it comes to lyrics, but the riffs weren't bad at all.

Newest song I've heard that I somehow like:
Sleepyhead from Passion Pit
I dunno... Just something about it feels awesome, makes me want to yell wee-oooh and fall over a lot.

KoL lead singer going Christian.
Eh, not so much from a different angle.

Otherwise what Tsuyu said. Good thing I'm not much of a lyrics listener.

Edit: hah, btw check out Tyloric's sig while listening to this song.

There are four songs that I consider equal in favour. All are wonderful masterpieces.

1.) Pourquoi Me Réveiller - Werther (Massenet), Pavarotti rendition (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8FRLsvfTIs)
2.) Vesti La Giubba - Pagliacci (Leoncavallo), Pavarotti rendition (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0PMq4XGtZ4)
3.) O Holy Night, Pavarotti rendition (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rM4GxCyJ3jM)
4.) Recondita Armonia - Tosca (Puccini), Pavarotti rendition (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQmr6DWw5zQ)

I don't know what it is about Pavarotti, but whenever I hear him sing it often makes me tear up. He had a truly amazing voice with perfect precision and power, it's as if time had decelerated when listening to him sing.

Still one of my favorite performances of his: "E Lucevan Le Stelle" 1:42 - 2:04 gets me every time.

Also: Pavarotti is awesome y'all. I'm not afraid to admit that Nessun Dorma has tugged a few heart strings in the past.
Oh yes, certainly. Nessun Dorma has pretty much become (or became, already) the "trademark" of Pavarotti. There's nobody on this globe that does not know Pavarotti's version of Nessun Dorma.

He's performed the song better than the album, or any other concert (or Tenor), in the Paris 1998 concert of The Three Tenors. The end was definitely perfectly done - he held the last notes so long, it was superb; that includes 1:12-1:22 as well. As if he has infinite lung capacity.

I highly recommend you watch it, Queenofdisco. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUKgN-nC93c

Generally, this concert has the greatest songs, performed at their very best. Dicitencello Vuie is highly recommended, too.

currently giving Oasis another try. they aren't bad, but the string sections in many of their best songs feel wholly unnecessary... plus the lead singer sounds like he's hitting notes only because he has to and not because he wants to....which is a problem for something recorded in a studio.
