Chin up.
This Halloween doesn't seem to be going that fan-dabby-dosey anyway. Make a good thing out of the bad :p

Same here. A night of junk food, hot chocolate, and reading Lady Audley's Secret for class.

Man this book is boring. Like, I've enjoyed all of the Victorian-era literature we've had to read so far this semester (Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre). It isn't because I don't jive with ye olde English I'm just crying of boredom right now. I'm literally so bored that I am inventing new emotions.

Truth be told I went to a costume party on Saturday night... so I guess I did celebrate in some form, even if the calendar wasn't kosher.

(Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre).

Stay away from Tess of the D'Urbervilles however, I had to do a long essay on that for an exam in highschool, it drove me mad.

I had work last night. I washed dishes in a restaurant for 4 hours.

What does a cow do on a Saturday night?

- Goes to the moovies!

Looking back, not sure why it made me laugh. Maybe I was just delirious from all the cold medicine.

Coincidentally, Saturday night was when I actually celebrated Halloween. Except this cow didn't go to the moovies, she went to party that was like something out of Mean Girls.

Should've come trick or treating round my house, Ty. I'd have given extra sweeties for a terrible joke. Gotta love Queen off her face on Vicks.

Skipped my night class, sat on my front porch with my family, a fire, and alcohol.

Got one group of trick-or-treaters who were sad that we didn't have all our usual Halloween stuff up because of Sandy.

Dude. I'm an English major. I took a Romantic lit class my last semester. It sucked so hard my dick fell off. I've never read Wuthering Heights or Jane Eyre, but Emma (by that bitch Jane Austen) was the most irritating, dull book I'd read in years. What's worse was I had a bunch of Jane Austen fangirls in my class.

First read Jayne Eyre when I was 9 and it's good - Wuthering Heights can kiss my backside though.

Well the weather took a turn for the worse so I don't think anyone bothered leaving their houses to trick or treat around our way last night. Was going to play some L4D and watch resident evil movies but got sucked into replaying Fable 3 instead. And now I can't stop playing it :D

So, you're a Jane Austen fangirl is what you're saying? I had so much fun tormenting the girl who sat in front of me in that class. She loved the English major and Jane Austen (both of which I hate) and it was so easy to **** her off. It backfired when she started talking about God and I just ended up telling her to **** off.

But back on Halloween, I can't wait till next year. My brother and his wife bought a townhouse in a neighborhood with lots of young families moving in. We're already planning to go up there and scare the **** out of some young'uns.

I dislike vodka. Vodka hurts.

I just dislike it because it tastes like crap, beer, cider, whiskey, etc are fine by me though.

Didn't do anything for Halloween myself, just watched 2001: A space odyssey then spent the rest of the evening playing Assassin's creed 3 (...never thought gouging my own countrymen with military bayonets would be so fun.)

Jane Austen didn't write Jayne Eyre...she wrote stuff that only seems to be palatable when turned into a BBC mini-series and involves lots of attractive brooding men in tight trousers...

And just to be on topic - er, yeah. Halloween stuff.

Dammit, you're right...

I'm a terrible English major. But she DID write Emma and Emma DID suck.

One conversation about vodka, one about ****ty English literature.

What's confusing here? They're both so very halloweeny.

It's always lame when Halloween is on a weekday. I did my celebrating the weekend before. Just went out to a few parties with my friends. Then on Halloween night, my girlfriend wanted to watch Scream and The Thing, so we did that with a few friends, then I did homework until about 3:00 AM.

I didn't do anything either, but that's just because there's little to no Halloween in the Netherlands. There's an equivalent of it in november, but it's... different. And only for small children.
