If you could hover at a exact point would you end up at the other side of the earth in 12 hours ? Lets say some point on the equator to the other or Like New york to maybe china, and if so why dont air planes fly opisite direction of earth spin to reach a destination faster by letting the earth do most the work?

Same reason why when you drop something in a moving car it doesn't go backwards. The object (in this case, the person trying to hover) is already moving relatively to the earth as the earth spins, it accelerates all the objects on it.

Yeah while your on the earth ( feet touching the ground ) you are going the same speed or momentum so if you jump you are still insycn with the momentum but if you are hovering eventually you will unsync because you are not on the ground. So the question still remains

I found the answer turns out its basic physics, an object in motion tends to stay in motion, its the same as a fly in the car, everything in the car is moving at the same speed you the air and the fly so if the car is doing 60mph its only relative to people outside inside the fly is still going its normal speed even if just hovering, so sAme apply's to the earth if you hover you will still hover with the earth, its one of those things where science can explain it and name it but it still does not make sence its wierd its just rules that makes life, invisible rules like "gravity" it has a name, youve heard about it all your life, it has meaning and you can identify it and "know" what it is by what you have learned but it still is just a force and rules to life that does not really make sense when thought about a little more deeply even tho we have "explanations" at ths end of the day..... it just is, as we just are.

Nope, everything in the atmosphere is moving at a (relatively) constant speed. Even if you were outside the atmosphere you'd still orbit the planet

Yeah i guess but i dont think if your outer space that you are still insync with the earths speed at least not exactly who knows i may be wrong, but point is, isint that crazy how technically the fly is doing 60mph by an outside observer stand point so what is happening in the car that allows that to happen? Its like your kind of in your own time bubble. No wonder why einstein racked his brain on this and time travel. I thought may b its because theirs no air or wind resistant but then i thought would you be able to run 60mph in a air vacuumed room ? No, how about a truck with a giant winshield in front of it pushing the air 60mph would you be able to keep up behind it ? No, so what's really causing this affect ? Its crazy when you think about it, anybody have any ideas ? I would love to hear them
@dark intelect with a name like that you should be able to uderstand that topics like this aint tripin its deep thinking

Also if an airplane fly's the opposite direction of the earths spin why does it still stay insync with the earths rotation isint that wierd ? So its like inside the earth from our relative perspective there is no spin just like the fly in the car to the fly its not going 60mph because to the fly the car is not moving in a sense , so meaning if you jump opposite of the earths rotation the earth still does not move under you not even a milli micro mini millimeter, i like what i read somewhere it said that there is no such thing as speed that speed is just all relative something like that
