silver key problem in bowerstone market

i know there is some glitches in the game but not on the problem i have,im trying to get the key from the cellar in the furniture store,no matter what i hit the orb with nothing happens,it looks like it has a shield over it with the glow behind,is there something else i have to do or get a certain type of weapon?

All you have to do is shoot it so it sounds like a glitch to me.
Maybe try and do a couple of quests and come back to it.
