Question about the Hero's father

This has been bugging me for a while, its not irritating.....just odd (imo anyway)

We know Brom gets killed during the Oakvale Raid in the beginning of the game; now with this in mind, we see a memorial area for the Raid victims after we visit Oakvale later in the game. Brom was obviously killed IN Oakvale, so why is his grave in Lychfield Graveyard and not the memorial garden?

Hmmm...that's interesting. Are you sure it's the same Brom? There's a possibility he was buried before the memorial garden was built. That's all I can think of.

not sure about that. That always confused me too. Perhaps he could be moved through modding. :D

I'm VERY sure its the Brom we know because his grave in LF says that Brom was killed by bandits protecting his family.

As for being buried before the memorial was built, thats one possibility but raises one question.

Why Lychfield, which is VERY far from Oakvale?

Reminder: I'm not trying to raise a stink about this minor detail, its just I find it strange that a resident from Oakvale would be buried in a graveyard far from home.

Maybe Lychfield was the only graveyard when he died?

As darkmaster said, and maybe he got his family in the area around lychfield? Or was born somewhere near lychfield?

Maybe he was born in Bowerstone and his family lived there and died and it was his wish to be buried there. Of course, "Darkwood's a dangerous place", and he got through there.... some how.

Re: Question about the Hero's father

Maybe they only found bits of him and so he was buried in more than one place? The bandits may have dropped his legs or something as they were running off with human souvenirs and in his trouser pocket was his diary, drivers licence and photos of the family?

Could have happened.....
