communication breakdown

is anybody else having a problem communicating with other people's orbs in the game?
my friend's orb keeps coming up to me and talking to me (like voice chat) but when i talk back he doesn't hear me.
help.

Sure its not just your mic settings or anything?

i'm positive.
because i invite him to private chat to tell him that something's wrong with the chat, and it works fine.

Very very weird.. Ask him how he does it? Push anything? ...?

Is there not an option somewhere in the game settings? I would check but i dont have my copy yet (been posted this morning).
